Edina Federated Women’s Club – Founded on Friendship
The Edina Federated Women’s Club, known to the community as Feds, has contributed over $1,000,000 to support hundreds of local charitable organizations. Club fundraisers from yesterday’s Santa House to today’s Feds Fest, have generated proceeds donated to Edin Give and Go, Southside Family Nurturing Center, Corner House, Oasis for Youth, 66 West, and the Edina Educational Fund among other entities serving women, children, and families.
Philanthropy for Feds Fest 2023
We’re happy to announce that, after expenses, our club made more than $70,000 at Feds Fest. That’s a Feds Fest record!
Thanks to all who attended, donated or won silent or live auction items and to the many volunteers who made this event a success.
A special thanks to Danya Spencer and Julianna Nelson who chaired the event and to the club members who worked alongside them.
At our Feds April Meeting, we’ll present checks to this year’s Philanthropy Partners – Edina Education Fund/Mental Health Campaign and KARA/Invisible Children.
THANK YOU!

Feds Fest 2023 – Silent Auction
December Philanthropy Focus
Members donated $1,375 in gift cards at our Holiday Party. These gift cards were sent to GFWC in Florida to support the clubs and members who had been the most affected by Hurricane Ian. These gift cards were greatly appreciated by our sister chapters, and we have received thank you messages.
We also packed 2,851meals for Feed My Starving Children during December.
November Philanthropy Focus
In addition to the year’s major fundraiser, Feds Fest, members also packed nutritious meals for children served globally by Feed My Starving Children. 2,000 meals were packed.
October Philanthropy Focus
At our October meeting members donated $1,250 which was sent to UNICEF to support children in the Ukraine. Children are the least responsible for armed conflict in Ukraine, but they suffer most from its consequences. Through our support, we helped UNICEF ensure that Ukraine’s children have access to safe water, nutrition, health care, education, and protection.
September Philanthropy Focus
At September meeting we presented a check for $5,000 to Mr. Allan Law for his work with “Love One Another” /Minnesota Recreation Development which is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization that serves the homeless, poor, and disadvantaged families in the Twin Cities every night by providing food, clothing, personal care items, and on-the-street care and support. On any given night, there are an estimated 10,000 homeless people in the Twin Cities metro area, including 3,000 children under age 17. The Guiding Principle is best captured in a quote by Hubert Humphrey: “Judge our society by how we care for our children and the disadvantaged.”
